I am who I am

“Soon, I will have no choice but to sacrifice the wellbeing of my patients. And I know I won’t do that. At that moment, I will be left with one choice. You know which one. An appointment was scheduled long time ago, in the Strasbourg railway station… Integrity is dear to my heart and I would rather die than making compromises on integrity issues. So I guess I’ll have to assume who I am and my choices, and stay true to myself.”

These are the last lines from my book, Twilight Tales. And, as foretold, I met the Strasbourg railway station again today, after an absence of 3 years. I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. All I know is that I have always remained true to myself and to what I stand for.
