Alba Iulia

Some photos from my recent visit to Alba Iulia. Here is a general view of the core of the fortress (it is absolutely huge).

This is the Coronation Cathedral (above, the bell tower; below the cathedral).

And this is inside the Catholic Cathedral.

On the wall of the orthodox cathedral there is a writing:
“Aici, pe pământul trecătoarei glorii a lui Mihai Viteazul, domn peste Ardeal, s-a împlinit, după trei secole, menirea de a fi împreună a poporului român”.

In translation, this reads:
“Here, on the land of the transient glory of Michael the Brave, ruler over Transylvania, it has been fulfilled, after three centuries, the destiny of being together of the Romanian people”.

Nice blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got your design. Bless you dbgfdfgkbfga

    Thanks for your comments!
If you scroll this page to the end, you’ll see it’s the Stay Theme from the set of free themes offered by WordPress. It is mainly used for hotels, but I disabled the “rooms” section and organized the menus the way I like it, aiming to give to the blog a professional look. You need to spend some time to learn how to use it.
