Some days ago I visited one of the main Geto-Dacian settlements in the area of my hometown. Situated at the crossroad of the Celtic, Dacian, Roman and then Byzantine civilizations, this fortress used to be an important gateway on the Danube River bank and at the edge of the Macin Mountains range. I added below some photos of the place, the way it looks nowadays. Click on each photo to enlarge it!
